Since Marshall L. Watson started the agency in 1971, Watson & Durrer has been committed to its activity in the community.  Sponsoring many youth activities to having the Marshall L. Watson Scholarship Fund. Watson & Durrer believes in giving back to the community and to its youth.

Marshall L. Watson started the "Watson Insurance Agency" in 1971. Prior to this Marshall worked for State Farm Insruance for 15 years and was employed with the US Government for 2 years.

Upon Mr. Davis's retirement, Marshall purchased the I.D. Davis Agency.  Marshall's sister Marian Durrer worked for Mr. Davis for many years and once Mr. Watson purchased the Davis Insurance Agency, Marian joined in and so became the Watson & Durrer Insurance Agency.  The family legacy did not stop there - Douglas M. Watson, Marshall's son came to work for the family owned and operated business in 1975. Doug, as many know him, is still very active and plays a vital role in the continuation of the family business heading up the business today as President. Doug's right hand man Jerry L. Breeden, CIC, came on in 2001 and his role as Vice President leaves for a strong team. Jerry with his extensive knowledge and background is a perfect fit as head of the Commercial Lines Department.
